The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

CD Projekt RED’s Witcher series is six years old this weekend, and the first two games combined have recently passed the six million sales mark. The Polish developer celebrated by posting an infographic detailing some fun and interesting facts about the beloved series.

The third game in the franchise, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, seeks to push the boundaries of open-ended gameplay by upping the number of possible endings to a staggering 36 alternatives (from TW2‘s 16 and TW1′s 3). Wild Hunt is scheduled to release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2014. Amazon.com recently posted a tentative date of Sept 30, 2014, but we’ll have to keep an eye out for shifts, as the online retailer often uses rough placeholders.

CDPR is also working on an ambitious scifi RPG, titled Cyberpunk 2077, and another unannounced title at its new office in Krakow.
